Can you add a small catagory to the forms info for me.
Alt Modes
and have it list
base mode, attack mode, deffense mode, weapon mode.
I will only submit under these if thier in refference in the instructions.  Also I am not considering secret weapons in this.  Things like the Beast Wars butt guns usually get covered in the parts list.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what it is you're asking. Which toy are you working on? Chances are pretty good that whatever forms you need are already in our system, but you never know...

I'm going through Beast wars now and a lot of figures have a third weapon or flight mode.  Think transmetal cheetor he has those jets that pop up but he really doesnt transform into a plane.  I have run into this on sevaral beast figures thought it might help. Another example i submitted an alt mode for Airazor who has what instrustions list as a attack mode.  two blades flip out from the wings and you pull the tail and it makes a grabbing action.  This was the first one I came accrost so i submitted the extra form as melee but i think attackmode might be better suited for some thing like this.  These will probably only be used in the Beast Wars section(cue cheesy guitar solo...).

For something like Airazor, calling that a "mode" might be stretching it a bit.  Think of Razorclaw, the Beast Wars basic crab...opening up his claws and showing off his spikes is also his attack mode...but then again, it is a conformational change...

If we would submit "attack weapons a-blazin'" as a mode, I would assume that it would just be another "falcon" form, in the case of Airazor and another "crab" form for Razorclaw.

Let me know what you guys think.

DJkev,

These attack modes are fine with me...but you would attach another beast mode (falcon in the case of Airazor) with the override of "Falcon (Attack Mode)" or something like that to indicate the third "form" in the text box.

Also, something similar to this would be the "Mutant Heads" seen with the early run Beast Wars deluxe and larger size classes.

If you want to add a third form to those guys, you would add another robot mode with the override of Robot (Mutant Head Mode).

Make sure that when you make the changes that they carry over to all of the different repaints/retools of the mold.  Whenever something is a remold (no matter how slight), you must make the change on that record, as well.

A little more info on the repaint/retool thing:

you don't have to worry about repaints, as any changes you make to a part with a certain mold gets applied all other parts that share that mold. Ed's point is that if you're modifying a part with mold #2, and that mold was later retooled into mold #3, then mold #3 won't inherit any changes you made to #2, so you would have to manually apply your changes to at least one part that uses mold #3. Wow, that's really hard to explain! Just do your best, and as always, we'll be reviewing any changes you make, so no worries.

OK i like your point about including the animal name infront of the attack mode if needed.  I think it looks good!  Im gonna wait to do the mutant heads for now unless its something I am already going to modify I will sweep back through for them later.
