Limit is 500KB, but I uploaded a photo (unprocessed) that is over 2MB.  http://www.shmax.com/product_details/849/highbrow  (reject it when done, though...)

It's coming through at 919KB...I'll leave it in the queue in case shmax needs to take a look at anything.

Thanks for the report.

Wow, this has been broken ever since I put in the multi-select photo uploader doodad. Should be fixed, now. Let me know if I broke anything. Thanks much, guys.

Would previously-submitted (and accepted) photos that exceeded the 500KB limit while it was broken now be affected at all by the fix?

Naw, all this does is make sure that a pop-up appears in the UI.

Also would like to clarify if the upload limit applies BEFORE or AFTER the submission.  As Mike points out the compressed photo on site was 900KB.  The photo I submitted was over 2MB.

I would not have to compress my Photos as much if it's the former, which would be great - would love to leave compression at 12 and avoid dipping into the dreaded (for me) 8 and below numbers..

The limit applies to the pre-processed image for the moment.

I marked this one as unresolved.

So, the limits DO work, but instead of getting an error...nothing happens.  I upload photos and the 'spinner' goes on endlessly - never tells me that I exceeded the 500KB limit leaving one to guess what the problems is.

When I was uploading the USA Powermaster Optimus Prime photos.. 2 were over the limit.  When I saw them not going up...kept retrying until I realized that one was 502KB and the other was 541KB.

Here we go again--it works fine for me in both Chrome and Firefox, and I even tried it logged in as you. Would you mind emailing me the two files in question so I can test with them? Thanks much!

Too late now on those files.  They are already compressed and uploaded.  I will try again with different submissions today and let you know if I run into any issues.
