Free Editing Software Ahoy

I used to have a "copy" of Photoshop but lost it when I had to reformat my comp due to a nasty little bug. Since then I've been using GIMP and while I personally don't have any problems with it I know it may not be for everyone. GIMP is not the most user friendly piece of software. It also doesn't allow editing of RAW format and while that means nothing to me now it will in the future when I start using a DSLR. *rubs hands together* I have plans.... mwa ha ha!

Anyhow, I dug around for some free stuff and thought I'd share.

Nice list. They were discussing this kind of thing in an article on gimp on slashdot last week, and a few people recommended paint.net.
