Photo of the Day / Beast Wars Cheetor (2/1/2020)
February 01, 2020, 09:17:38 AM
Cheetor wants you to think that he got his name from his beast mode, but the truth is that Rattrap gave him that moniker back on Cybertron when he caught the future feline palming aces during what was supposed to be a friendly game of Kaon Hold 'Em. Fortunately for him, everyone at the table decided to stage an impromptu intervention for his bad habit. After a few kind words and a two-hour beating, the big yellow cat vowed to clean up his act. I believe I can assist. I learned more about them than I cared to when I was building the database.
Are you worried that you're not going to keep your New Year's resolution to get in shape? Then take some inspiration from our pal Brawn. Look at how much he bulked up, and it only took him 33 years! (Photo courtesy of Spiff-O-Matic and his mega-muscley picture-snapping finger.)
I think your best bet would be eBay or the buy/sell/trade section of a LEGO collectors' forum.
Done and done!
Don't put Starscream too close to Bumblebee on the tree this year. Things are still heated between them after they got into that big argument about politics during Thanksgiving dinner. It'll save everyone a lot of headaches if we just keep them away from each other. (Photo hung by the chimney with care by Spiff-O-Matic.)
Fighting a war for millions of years isn't cheap, so you can't fault Optimus Prime for trying to offset the costs by taking on a sponsor. It's not the most desirable solution, but it could've been worse; Motormaster's tooling around with a big ol' Preparation H ad on his trailer. (Photo provided by Hellscream333 with a generous grant from the ExxonMobil Corporation.)
While not technically sharing a name with a Weird Al song, I think "Good Enough for Now" describes Rodimus Prime rather well, lol.

This would get a "like" if the boards supported such a feature.
You know what makes Triggerhappy so awesome? He's the only Transformer who shares his name with a "Weird Al" Yankovic song. Though it really makes you wish that Hasbro didn't cancel his Autobot rival Amish Paradisetron. Those could've been some fun battles. (Photo courtesy of the White & Nerdy Spiff-O-Matic.)
Help Us Build the Database / 10,000 Product Entries!
September 20, 2019, 03:41:01 PM
It's official! I've entered a whopping 10,000* product records into this fine database. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you have no social life to speak of. Did you just ask what the 10,000th toy is? Oh, you didn't. We'll I'll tell you anyway: it's Super7's NYCC-exclusive Super Cyborg clear purple Megatron!

*not counting duplicate records and canceled toys, of course.
Photo of the Day / Q-Transformers Ironhide (9/3/2019)

Look at this adorable little Ironhide! He's so precious! Who's a little cutie-bot? Is it you? Is it you? Yes it is! Coochie-coochie-coo! Aww, isn't that cute? He grabbed my finger! Whatcha gonna do with that finger, little guy? Huh? Whatcha gonna OWW! OW-OW-OW-OWWWW! SOMEONE TELL HIM FINGERS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BEND THAT WAY! OWWWWWW!!! (Picture courtesy of Spiff-O-Matic, who's just the cutest little photo submitter, isn't he? Isn't he the cutest OWWW!)
Today we shine a light on one of our favorite converting robot alternate modes: doorbells! Whether letting us know that someone is at our door or helping us trick other people into thinking that someone is at their door, doorbells have played an important role in all our lives. And who hasn't imagined that their humble little announcer-of-visitors is secretly a shapeshifting automaton from another planet? That's why the young and young-at-heart alike all love a good transforming doorbell toy, a source of hours of fun and..... excuse me..... Uh-huh... uh-huh...…... I see..... I've just been informed that these toys of Cosmos, Spaceracer, and Cosmos all turn into UFOs and not doorbells. I've also been advised not to do "Photo of the Day" posts on three hours of sleep. (Picture credit goes to Spiff-O-Matic, whose photos always ring our bell.)
Feature Requests/Announcements / Re: Tax Paid field

Not a bad idea. I've thought about requesting it, too. I raised it up the flagpole, now let's see if the generals salute it.
Non-Transformers Toy Discussion / Re: gi joes

Yes, indeed! They're right here!
Can you guess which of the wily Decepticon Clones this is? Is it the ferocious Pounce or is it the deadly Wingspan? Or could it be a third clone that no one knew about before now? Do you dare risk sinking into the depths of madness trying to figure it out? Oh, wait, I put his name up there in the title. That wasn't very bright. Good thing I wasn't offering cash prizes like the last time this happened. (Thanks to the one-of-a-kind Spiff-O-Matic for the photo.)
