I was looking at the website and going through new products sorted by DATE ADDED. I noticed some items were renamed from old records, I guess for reuse. However, I miss those items when I sort by date added. I have written down when the last time I looked at the database and stop at that point going backwards. However, I miss those items that are renamed. Any chance whoever is doing this can just delete old incorrect records and enter in new ones instead of renaming?
for instance: https://www.shmax.com/products?q_filters_toyline=5074 sort by date added to database... it says that titanns return kickback was entered in 2013!

Since there was a rumor of a site redesign, no better time than to remind you of some of the features that would be nice to have. Some of these features already exist in *similar* websites and I think would be very helpful here:

1) On product page - Rate a product - simple star rating 1-5

2) On product page - Discuss a product - simple discussion where people can discuss issues or things to be aware of

3) On product page - Youtube reviews - embedded. People can add links to reviews and you can watch them within the page

4) Better gamification of the site for people who contribute (with points)

5) - The biggie! Selling... Make it tied to peoples wish list. Include notifications, if a seller posts below a certain price..

6) Integration with facebook and twitter (automatic posts when people add to collection or want to sell)... as an option of course

7) Pages should be have a little bit more color and be a little less crowded

Email notifications when an item you own is updated - especially renamed

9) The ability to subscribe to a category or search result and get notified when an item is added or deleted.

10) An app that can scan bar codes and take pictures and allow an item to be added from the phone.

Is that enough for now . See... thats what happens when you get my hopes up!

Lol... I find this funny. You don't want to let us go!
Apparently there is an error page if you try to log out using the main menu on the top-right of the screen.

I could have sworn this was already implemented, but apparently not. It would be nice for the search algorithm to account for leading zeros when there is a 0 in front of a number as part of the search or product name. Therefore searches with TW-2 should get a result for TW-02 (and visa versa).

I know we are due for an overhaul of our profile (I am dying to see it...) but with the current one, the header for the Fun facts column looks like there is a gap in the background element to the rest of the column. Example: http://www.shmax.com/view_collection/853

If you are browsing in a specific folder and then use the search box, there is no indication that it is for that folder only. There used to be a drop-down which allowed for the user to select upwards the bread-crumb path. For instance:

If you use Opera, and type in XX/XX/14 for an item you purchased, the year shows 19014, but the purple title bar will update correctly to 2014.

There aren't section breaks when sorting by Add to Collection, for instance:

I would expect to see a section break for items I added today with the date, then another section break for items I added on date AB/CD/XYZW... etc.

I added a few products and never got an email when they were approved. Spam folder has nothing.

If you don't select a country release and fill out all other required info, you get a blank white screen when you try to submit the product. There is no error indicating a missing field.

That would probably also explain why it isn't showing the actual latest pictures first...

1) While browsing: http://shmax.com/products?sort_dir=1&browse=0&sort=date_added&p=10 I want to click on a category from the breadcrumb links under the product name. Upon clicking the Transformers GT link (or any of them), I get an 'empty' folder - http://shmax.com/products/3560?sort_dir=1&browse=0&p=10. I'm not sure why. When I search for the product I find it and when clicking on that folder name, it works.

2) Price chart for products with only 1 data point, have the Y-Axis labels screwy: http://shmax.com/product_details/12113/wst_dinorobots_wst_exclusive

on the homepage, if you try to open the links for the recent releases/upcoming releases, the new pages just have the header info, nothing else.

Entering in a purchase date of "12/12/12" computes to "12/12/1912" and not "12/12/2012".

Engledogg and I were talking about the situations, especially in 3rd party products, where an item is released out of the US (Like Japan, China, etc) yet the item is sold in US currency.

For instance:
http://www.shmax.com/product_details/10204/ultimate_fire sas sold exclusively by RobotKingdom, but the release country should be Japan. Once you change the release to Japan, the currency changes to Yen, not the price RobotKingdom is selling it for.

I was thinking that we should have the option of selecting a different currency then the default from the country selected.
