When typing in text, I'm unable to click somewhere else in the text.  So when I make a spelling mistake, for example 'Generatons,'  I would not be able to position the cursor after the 't' to add an 'i.'  If I use the mouse, no action.  If I use the arrow keys of the keyboard, then focus switches to other parts of the tool bar menu (i.e., browse, forums, help, etc.)

Using Firefox 17.0.1

Annoying, ain't it? Not to worry, I've got a fix ready. Should be checking in sometime today. Thanks, HP.

This one was fixed a few days ago, right?

Negative. The behaviour is still the same.

Fixed! Thanks much, HP.

Not fixed in Palemoon. I even tried that Ctrl+F5 thing. Since my browser is in a minority, don't bother acting on it until I test with Firefox at work.

You think I can resist installing a new browser I have never heard of? You overestimate me, sir. Downloading now...

Firefox bug, apparently: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=501496

Looking for a workaround...

Fixed again! Thanks, Trip.

LOL, I use the default android browser on my tablet alot and I've had the text issue for the longest time but it happens on lots of sites and appeared to happen randomly. I never reported it here because I just figured it was my inferior browser. Android browser has always been buggy for me since the first Droid. I switch off between it and Chrome for mobile every week or so, I just start using whichever one seems to be most reliable at the time. 2 weeks ago it was using Chrome but it's not compatible with the newest version of flash yet so it's been the Android for me lately.

I do not envy you guys. Browser issues seemed to be some of the biggest blocks in web development when I was doing it in the early to mid 2000s. Seems like nothing changes but the changes.

Not fixed here either.
Firefox 17.0.1
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/17.0

I had to clarify that the arrow keys now work*, but the mouse selection does not.

* in both Mozilla browsers I use.

Fixed! Sorry for the delay.
